- In 1870, Henri Vermeersch built a new organ for the Sint Antoniskerk in Brasschaat. The organ case was made by J.A. Van Boeckel Jr. from Lier. The organ originally had two manuals and an attached pedal.
- During the Second World War, the organ was damaged by the impact of a V2 rocket. The instrument was converted by Gerard D'Hondt in the years 1948-1950 and expanded with an independent unit pedal. On January 22, 1950, the renewed organ was dedicated, on the same day as the new church bells. The organ was played in a concert by Jules and Prosper de Vries.
- In 1980-1981 the company Pels-D'Hondt carried out a restoration. The windchests and mechanisms have been reconstructedd. On October 16, 1981, the organ was put back into use. On this occasion it was played by Marie-Ange Boost. Gabriël Loncke advised on the restoration.
- The Nijsse company worked on the organ in 2009 and 2013. A technical overhaul was carried out in 2009, during which there were several repairs. In 2013, the bellows were re-leathered.
