The Northfield School for Girls was founded in 1879 and the Mount Hermon School for Boys in 1881. The school were merged in 1972 to become Northfield Mount Hermon School, and since 2005 only the campus of the former Mount Herman School is in use. The chapel of this school contains an organ by Andover from 1970. It replaced an organ by the Estey Company from 1926. In 2013 the organ was renovated by the Andover Company under supervision of Benjamin G. Mague.
