- In 1882, the company Puget & fils was commissioned to build a new large organ for Mirepoix Cathedral. This organ would receive 40 stops and should be installed on a balustrade on the west wall of the church. However, the work was not progressing very much, and in 1886 the assignment was transferred to the German firm Gebr. Link from Giengen. The instrument is opus 171 of the company and was delivered in 1891. The organ was dedicated on November 5, 1891, after which a concert followed by the organist of Toulouse Cathedral.
- In 2006, the organ has been restored by Link Orgelbau.
