Built by: Taylor & Boody (2002) - opus 37
The Taylor & Boody firm built a new organ (opus 37) for the Saint Mark's Lutheran Church in San Francisco in 2002. The organ was completed in early January 2003. However, because the construction of the church building had been delayed considerably, the organ could not be placed yet. It was now temporarily installed in Lexington Presbyterian Church in Virginia. This church was destroyed by fire in the fall of 2000. A new church could be put into use in January 2003, but the organ ordered from Fisk would not be completed until 2007. The Taylor & Boody organ remained in Lexington until at least 2005. It was inaugurated in San Francisco on December 10, 2006.
