The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Detroit was built in 1913 in neo-Gothic style. In 1925 the Casavant company placed a three-manual organ in the church. Because of a major restoration and renovation of the church, the decision was made to have a new organ built. This two-manual organ was delivered in 2003 and was built by the Austin Organ Company. The old instrument from 1925 can also be played from the console of the new organ. Norah Duncan was consultant for the construction of the organ.
