In 1760, Victor Ferdinand Bossart built a swallow's nest organ on the north wall of the choir of the parish church of Bürglen. For symmetry, an identical empty organ case with non-speaking prospect pipes was placed on the south wall. The organ fell out of use around 1900 and hung idly on the wall. It was restored in 1996-1998 by Mathis Orgelbau. On May 3, 1998, the organ was rededicated with a recital by Prof. Erwin Mattmann.
