Onder advies van Ludwig Altman, organist van de kerk bouwde Aeolian-Skinner onder leiding van Lawrence Schoenstein in 1971 een nieuw orgel voor de Ninth Church of Christ, Scientist in San Francisco. Het orgel verving een unit-orgel van Welte-Mignon uit 1927, dat in 1941 in de kerk was geplaatst. Uit dit instrument werden de Vox Humana en de Chimes overgenomen.
