- Under the advice of Viktor Scholz and Walter Damm, Winfried Albiez built a large three-manual organ for the Sankt Marien-Kirche in Kempen in 1979. The instrument was dedicated on September 22, 1979. The organ stands on an organ balcony on the west side of the nave. The building still has the empty organ case of an organ by Veit ten Brendt from 1541 and an organ by Franz Wilhelm Sonreck from 1875 with a neo-Gothic front.
- In 2011 the organ was restored by Martin Scholz.
