- On December 20, 1889, Alexandre Guilmant gave a concert on the new Cavaillé-Coll organ of the Cathedral of Amiens as an inauguration concert. The organ case is taken from the old organ. This dates from 1620 and is a work by Pierre le Pescheur. The Cavaillé-Coll organ originally had 51 stops. In 1936 it was rebuilt and expanded by the Roethinger company.
- A restauration is being carried out in 2021.
