In 1978 bouwde de firma Bishop & Son een nieuw orgel voor de kerk van Saint Mary the Less in Cambridge. Bij de bouw werd gebruik gemaakt van materiaal van Holdich uit 1847. Het Holdich-orgel werd door hem gebouwd in 1847 voor Necton Hall in Cambridge, en is in 1865 is de kerk van Saint Mary the Great geplaatst. Hier is het enkele malen gereviseerd en gewijzigd. Bishop maakte voor het nieuwe orgel een geheel nieuwe orgelkas dat als een zwaluwnest aan de zuidzijde van het schip is gehangen. De kas werd ontworpen door Lawrence Bond. In 2006 is het orgel afgebroken. De orgelkas van Bond werd opnieuw gebruikt voor de bouw van een nieuw orgel door Kenneth Tickell. Het Holdich-pijpwerk is gebruikt voor een orgel in Westleton in Suffolk.
