Het orgel van Saint Bene't's Church in Cambridge is in 1874 geplaatst door de firma Hill. Het zou mogelijk gaan om een ouder orgel, afkomstig uit een andere kerk. Het orgel is in 1898 door Hill verplaatst naar de noordzijde van het koor. In 1958 voerde Hill, Norman & Beard een ingrijpende restauratie uit. De tractuur is daarbij gewijzigd, er is een nieuwe speeltafel geplaatst en het instrument kreeg een grondige revisie. In 1978 voerde E.J. Johnson een restauratie uit. Het orgel werd nu ook uitgebreid.
