  • The organ in the First Congregrational Church in Woburn was inaugurated on October 31, 1860. It is a work of Elias and George Hook, opus 283. In 1913 the instrument was modified by J.D. Brennann. On Great he replaced the Twelfth with a Gamba 8', and a second Mixture 2 ranks of Great was replaced with a Dulciana 8'. The Swell pedal was replaced with a balanced pedal with new vertical shutters. On Swell a Salicional was installed in stead of a Mixture 2 ranks. On the Choir Organ the Open Diapason was expanded with the bottom octave pipes, and the Celestina was shifter from 4' to 2'.
  • In 1988 the Bozeman firm restored the organ. The Gamba of Great was removed and a new Twelfth was installed on this slide. The Dulciana was replaced by a new Sesquialtera. On Swell the Salicional was replaced by a Dulciana Cornet 2 ranks. In 1993-1994 the bellows were re-leathered by Bozeman.
