- In 1775 Florentin Grimond built an organ for the chapel of Sainte-Anne d'Auray. The instrument was modified by Jules Heyer in 1855. He modified the specification according to the taste of the time. Because of the construction of a new basilica in Sainte-Anne d'Auray, the organ was transferred to Carnac by him in 1866.
- In 1976 the Benoist-Sarelot company carried out a restoration. This restoration was completed in 1986 by the company Boisseau-Cattiaux. The original work has been reconstructed during these restorations.
