The Casavant firm built an organ for the Church of Immaculate Conception, Camden, New Jersey in 1926. They used different ranks from the church's previous organ, an instrument by Hook & Hastings from 1885. The new organ was constructed with pneumatic cone chests. The church was elevated to a cathedral in 1937. In 1995, Patrick Murphy completed an extensive restoration. He replaced the cone chests with slider chests, but the action of the organ remained electro-pneumatic. In 1997 he expanded the organ with a Mixture on Great, and in 1999 the bellows were restored.
