- In 1884-1887 the Schyven company built an organ for the Sint Maartenskerk in Kortrijk. The beautiful organ balustrade is a work of M. Carpentier. Consultant was pastor Busschaert from Vichte. The organ was examined on March 9, 1887. Among the judges was Edgar Tinel, director of the Lemmens Institute. The organ was inaugurated the same day, after which a concert was given by Joseph Callaerts, Alphonse Mailly and Mr. Van Reysschot. Organist was Octaaf Devaere. He played the organ for over fifty years, and was succeeded by Albert Van Haute.
- Around 1900 the Positive was placed in a swell box and the Flûte 4' and Violino 4' of this work were moved up and supplemented to 8-foot registers. Joseph Loncke restored the organ in 1954, electrifying the action. He also changed the disposition on several points to a more baroque character. On May 31, 1955, the organ was put back into use with a concert by Albert Van Haute.
