- In 1739 Romanus Benedikt Nollet built a new organ for the abbey church in Tholey. The organ was has an impressive baroque style facade. The interior was replaced in 1835 by a new organ built by Jean Frédérick Verschneider, which was completed in 1839. In 1929 Anton Turk also built a new organ in the old case. And this instrument was again replaced by a new one, built in the years 1960-1963 by the company Gebr. Oberlinger.
- Over time, the Hintersatz 6 fach of the pedal has been replaced by a Quintbass 10 2/3'. In the years 2005-2006 Hugo Mayer carried out a restoration.
- But an entirely new organ was built in the old organ case by Hugo Mayer in 2020, the fifth organ to be housed in this case from 1739. The instrument has 41 stops, including five transmissions, on three manuals and pedal. It was dedicated on September 19, 2020 with a concert by Bernhard Leonardy.
