1981 Oberösterreichische Orgelbauanstalt  restauration et expansion
2018 Orgelbau Kuhn AG  restauration

  • Of the beautiful Rumel organ from 1743 in the Zisterzienserkerk in Wilhering, only the organ case with the front pipes remained. A few inner pipes survived the renovation by Leopold Breinbauer in 1884. He built a completely new interior with mechanical action and cone chests.
  • During a restoration of the church, the organ was dismantled in 1974. In the years 1976-1981 the instrument was restored and re-installed by the Oberösterreichische Orgelbauanstalt. A new third manual was added to the organ, using the original Rückpositiv again. This had been empty since 1884. Seven stops of 1884 were replaced by other ones ad the console was altered. The free combinations ('Kollektivzüge') were disabled.
  • In 2017-2018 a new restoration has been carried out by the company Kuhn Orgelbau. The work had the purpose to create a more homogeneous instrument, with the organ of 1884 as the center point. Twelve stops were reconstructed or revoiced, the original combination action was restored, and the organ cases were restored and repainted. The organ was re-dedicated on May 20, 2018. The organ was played at this occasion by Ernst Hagmüller and Ikarus Kaiser.
