Murray M. Harris built a three manual organ for the Memorial Church of Stanford University in 1900/1901. In 1915 the Johnston Organ Company expanded the instrument with an echo division that could be played from the existing keyboards. Aeolian-Skinner placed two high-pressure ranks on the Choir Organ in 1933. In 1982 the console was restored by Rosales. The Fisk company built a new organ for the church over the next two years. But despite plans for demolition, the Harris organ has been preserved and later even restored.
