- On May 24, 1963, Emil Hammer Orgelbau was commissioned to build a new three-manual organ for the Schloßkirche Sankt Crucis or Kreuzkirche in Hannover. The instrument was inaugurated on November 21, 1965. The official inauguration took place with three concerts. On February 18, 1966, Klaus von Loeffelholz, organist of the church, played the complete 'Nativité du Seigneur' by Olivier Messiaen. Concerts followed on February 25, 1966 by Konrad Voppel, organist of the Salvatorkirche in Duisburg, and on March 4, 1966 by Johannes Stadelmann, organist of the Universitätskirche in Marburg / Lahn in collaboration with Annemarie Jochum, violin.
- The Oberhorn 1 1/7 '+ 8/9' of the Brustwerk was replaced in later years by a Rohrflöte 4'. In 2011 Jörg Bente restored the instrument. He renewed the Trompete of the Hauptwerk. On the Brustwerk the Salicet 4' was replace by a Nasat 2 2/3'.
