In 1937, the Wotteler, Holtkamp & Sparling company built an organ for the First Congregational Church in La Grange, Illinois. After Pels & Van Leeuwen built a new organ for this church, the instrument was transferred in 1978 to the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Chicago.
