In 1991 the company Siegfried Sauer from Höxter-Ottbergen was commissioned to build a new organ for the Heilig-Kreuzkirche in Trier. This instrument replaced an organ of the company Sebald from 1963. The specification was designed by Burkhard Pütz and Siegfried Sauer, in close collaboration with Peter Hunecke and Johannes Falke. The new prospect was designed by Wilhelm Jungherz. The instrument was dedicated on 26 March 1995. Dom organist Josef Still played the inaugurational concert. At the Schwellwerk a Zimbelstern and a Glockenspiel have been prepared.
