1983 John Brombaugh & Co.  maintenance/reparations

  • John Brombaugh built an organ for the Central Lutheran Church in 1976 at the corner of East 18th Avenue and Potter Street in Eugene, Oregon. He was inspired by the organ of the Martinikerk in Groningen for the design. The temperament was a modified Kirnberger. Harald Vogel acted as advisor. He also gave a series of concerts on the occasion of the opening on November 28, 29 and 30, 1976. The organ was already dedicated on November 14, 1976.
  • In 1983 the instrument was overhauled by John Brombaugh. The Mixture of the Hauptwerk was replaced by an oak Gamba 8', while the Scharff was expanded to a Mixture 6-10 ranks. On the Rückpositive he removed the double choirs from the Praestant 8'. The organ is then tuned to a Kellner-Bach temperament.
