2005 Eule Orgelbau  restoration

  • In the years 1855/1856 Adolf Lummert supplied a new organ for the evangelical Friedenskirche in Jauer, today Jawor in Poland. The church's previous organ, originally built in 1664, was no longer playable and was demolished. The new instrument had two manuals and an independent pedal with 26 stops.
  • In the years 1896 to 1899, Heinrich Schlag rebuilt the organ into a three-manual organ with a new echo work. The organ received a new console, a larger manual compass and the action of the main work and pedal was made pneumatic by the installation of permanent Barker levers. After the Second World War, the organ was no longer usable. Many parts subsequently disappeared from the organ.
  • In 2002 Hermann Eule carried out an extensive restoration, with the aim of reconstructing the organ in its original condition. Initially, the Hauptwerk was restored. Oberwerk and Pedal followed in 2005. On September 10 and 11, 2005, the organ could be inaugurated on the occasion of the celebrations in connection with the 350th anniversary of the church building.
