  • The Sankt Gabrielkirche in Munich was dedicated on October 31, 1926. In that year they bought a small organ with seven stops from the Munich firm Carl Schuster & Magnus Schmid. This instrument was sold in May 1930 to the parish church of St. Magdalene in Munich. On November 4, 1929, the company Dreher & Flamm signed a contract for the construction of a large organ with 42 stops and a choir organ with 8 stops, that were connected with each other. The specification had to be designed according to the ideas of the organ movement. The main organ was dedicated on April 13, 1930, but the choir organ was never built.
  • Church and organ were damaged during World War II in October 1944, but the instrument could be repaired. The organ was restored in 1953 by Dreher & Reinisch.
  • In 1969/1970 Walcker built a new organ with a more neo-baroque disposition and a Rückpositiv. 26 ranks of the previous instrument were used again. Walcker also placed a small organ with eleven stops in the choir of the church. The renewed instrument was dedicated in October 1970.
  • After a major restoration of the church building in the years 1980-1982, Josef Garhammer refitted the organ. Eight stops were added. In 1996 Dieter Schingnitz restored the organ.
