On March 3, 1971, a new organ was inaugurated in the chapel of the Saint Joseph Hospital in Trier. The case of the organ was designed by Alois Peitz, while the specification was set up by Wolfgang Oehms, organist of the Domkirche in Trier. The instrument has been built by Alfred Fühter. The organ replaced an instrument of the Breidenfeld company from 1866 with two manuals and pedal and 27 stops.
