Built by: Aristide Cavaillé-Coll (1879) - opus 504
For Charles Gounod, Cavaillé-Coll built a salon organ for his home on Place Malesherbes in Paris. The instrument was put into use on April 2, 1879. In 1937 it was sold to the Institut des Jeunes Aveugles in Bordeaux. Robert Boisseau relocated the instrument. In 1976 the organ was transfered to the Salle Polyvalente of the Center Peyrelongue in Ambarès-et-Lagrave. Since 2020 the organ is located in the Église Saint-Pierre in La Sauve Majeure. It was transfered to this church by Stéphane Pesce.
