The organ in the Kajetanerkirche in Salzburg is the only instrument of the Egedacher family that has been fully preserved without changes. It was built in 1696 by Joseph Christoph Egedacher. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart played this organ, hence it is also referred to as the 'Mozart-orgel'. It was restored by the Rieger company in 1982, with the disposition restored to its original state by removing the Salicional 8 'added later.
