Franz Rieger (Zossen, 13-10-1812 - Jägerndorf 29-1-1885) founded an organ factory in Jägerndorf in the Sudetenland. This company grew mainly thanks to the efforts of his sons Otto (1880-1920) and Gustav, who worked under the company name Gebrüder Rieger. After Otto's death, Joseph von Glatter-Götz bought the company in 1924. The company was continued under the leadership of his sons Egon and Joseph. During the Second World War the buildings burned down completely. New companies were started in both the Czech Republic and Austria. The Austrian company led by Caspar and Christoph Glatter-Götz started in Schwarzach in 1946.
