1720 Johann Christian Clausing  new organ
1882 Josef Laudenbach  rebuild
1964 Karl Ott  reconstruction
2015 Klais Orgelbau  restoration

  • The baroque organ of Zwillbrock was completed in 1720 by Johann Christian Clausing. It was somewhat modified by Josef Laudenbach in the years 1880-1882. Het enlarged the manual compass from CD-c''' (48 keys) to C-f' (54 keys), constructed an independent pedal with three stops and changed the stop list. He removed the Zimbel from the Hauptwerk, and on the Positiv he replaced the Mixtur with a Salicional, moved the Quinte to 2 2/3' and removed the Vox Humana.
  • The instrument was damaged in 1945 during the Second World War. A thorough restoration by Karl Ott in 1962-1964 brought the organ back to its original state. Consultant was Rudolf Reuter. Ott did add an independent pedal with six stopss, two pedal couplers and two tremulants. He also did not return the compass of the manuals and pedal to its original state.
  • In the years 2014-2015 the organ was renovated and cleaned by the Klais Orgelbau company. It was put back into service on 17 May 2015.
