Built by: Jean-François Lépine (1752)
Jean-François Lépine built a new organ for Sarlat Cathedral in the years 1749-1752. The instrument was inspected by Dom Bédos on October 22, 1752. The organ was modified several times. In 1963-1964, the Haerpfer-Erman company carried out a restoration, during which it was reconstructed to its original state. It was reopened on July 17, 1964 with a concert by Marie-Claire Alain. A new, very thorough restoration took place in the years 2001-2005. Bertrand Cattiaux performed these works. On May 15, 2005, the organ was put back into use. Michel Bouvard played the inaugurational concert.
