In 1880, Joseph Merklin built a two-manual salon organ for the Count of Arlot-de-Saint-Saud. It was installed in the Notre-Dame de La Roche-Chalais in 1898. It was inaugurated on 26 June 1898. The inauguration concert was given by two organists, Daène from Bordeaux and Paschali from Périgueux. In 1932, Raoul Duprat installed a wind motor. In 1953, a Bourdon 8' was installed on the Grand Orgue, possibly instead of a Salicional. In 2000, Patrice Bellet and Franz Lefèvre carried out a thorough restoration. The Bourdon from 1953 was replaced by a Plein-Jeu Progressif.
