In 1870, Aristide Cavaillé-Coll built a small organ for the church of the Monastery of the Carmes de Bordeaux in Bergerac. However, the monastery was closed in 1880. The organ was installed in Notre-Dame by Gaston Maille in 1883 as a choir organ. It was restored in 1982 by Bernard Chevrier. Francis Chapelet was the advisor for the work.
