In 1865, an organ was built by Joseph Merklin for Notre-Dame in Bergerac. The organ was restored by Jean Dunand in 1977-1978. The disposition has been changed. To give the organ a clearer sound, several romantic stops were replaced by higher registers. Francis Chapelet was the consultant during the restoration. He also gave the commissioning concert.
