- Friedrich Rink started building an organ for the Temple Neuf in Strasbourg in 1700. Claude Legros took over the work in 1701 after Rink's death on March 16, 1701, and he completed the instrument in 1702 according to a completely modified design. Andreas Silbermann made a new larger pedal for the organ in 1708. In 1749 it was transferred to Ribeauvillé by Rohrer. There the organ was overhauled and partially renewed by Joseph Callinet.
- Emil Wetzel worked on the organ in 1893. He may have changed the pedal compass from 25 to 27 notes. In 1933 the organ was pneumatized by Adolphe Blanarsch. The organ was restored by Alfred Kern in 1984 almost completely reconstructed to the condition of 1748. On September 16, 1984 the instrument was officially inaugurated. It was played on this occasion by Michel Chapuis.
