- In 1949 Pels built a new three-manual organ for the Sint Hippolytuskerk in Delft with 53 stops. Pels had designed an instrument with mechanical slider chests, but the church board found this design too expensive, so an electro-pneumatic action was made instead. The organ was dedicated on October 9, 1949 with a concert by the organist of the church, Joop Schouten. The instrument soon became known as concert organ. In 1962 Pels shifted the Trumpet 4' to a Trumpet 16' treble and added two sub octave couplers. Also the pipework of manuals II and III was now placed in cases. New keyboards were made in 1969, with black lower and white upper keys. However, it was already announced in March 1970 that one of the two Roman Catholic churches in the center of Delft would have to disappear. And there was a good chance that this had to be the Saint Hippolytus Church.
- In 1972 the final decision was made to close and demolish the church. On December 13, 1972, the 'Caecilia organ' was dismantled and removed from the church. On May 31, 1974, it was inaugurated in the Notre Dame Cathedral of Évreux with a performance by Jean Guillou. It served in this church until 2000. As early as 1999, actions had started for the construction of a new organ called 'Orgue 2000', taking as an example the old Clicquot organ that had been in the cathedral until 1887. Ultimately it became a very contemporary organ with a modern designed organ case and prospect. The Pels organ was sold to the Iglesia de Santa María de la Asunción in Castro Urdiales in Cantabria, where it was inaugurated in 2005.
