- The organ in the church of Tournus was built by Jehan de Herville, while the case with the wood carvings was made by Gaspard Symon. In 1698 the instrument was restored by Pierre Frangas. In 1822 the instrument was extended with a Positif de Dos by an unknown builder from the Callinet school. In 1863 Verschneider installed a pedal with a Soubasse.
- The organ was restored in 1929 by the company Ruche from Lyon. It was rebuilt at this time with pneumatic action. A lot of old pipework had been replaced with new and stops were removed. The work was of poor quality, so that as early as 1945 it was no longer possible to play the organ.
- In 1973 a restoration was eventually carried out by Philippe Hartman. But this also did not have the desired result, so that already in 1984 another restoration with followed by Jean Deloye. He also expanded the organ with new ranks. On May 27, 1990, the organ was put back into service.
