  • The Andreaskirche in Lienz was completed in 1457. The organ on the west side was built in 1618 by Andreas Putz from Passau. In 1737 the instrument was damaged by lightning strikes. A rebuild by Johann Christoph Egedachter followed.
  • The renovation in 1888 by Franz Reinisch junior was more drastic. He increased the keyboard size from 45 to 54 keys, renewed the bellows, wind chests and action, and increased the wind pressure. He also modified the organ case. Alois Fuetsch replaced two stops in 1903. In 1941 the organ was dismantled and stored. After the war it was investigated. Only eight ranks from 1618 appeared to be left. The Pirchner company reconstructed the instrument in 1972. New slider chests were constructed, and a completely new mechanical action.
