Built by: J.W. Walker & Sons (1864)
In 1864 the firm of Walker & Sons built an organ for the abbey church in Dorchester. The instrument was restored and modified in 1959 and 1961 by R.H. Walker. In 1981, the Bishop & Son company expanded the instrument. The organ was overhauled by Peter Collins in 2008. The disposition has been altered. The register action has been made electromagnetic, and a setzer system has been installed.
