1941 Bakker & Timmenga  maintenance/reparations

  • After repair of the damage to the Hervormde Kerk (Dutch Reformed Church) in Zuidland that was caused by a fire in 1919, the company Bakker & Timmenga installed a new organ. It was an organ with cone chests and pneumatic action. The tableau with the text 'Gift from Mr. Leendert van der Meer Cz 1897' from the previous organ was placed again in the balustrade, although there was no connection with the new organ and this donation.
  • In 1941 the church was damaged by acts of war, after which the organ was restored. As a result of the flood disaster of 1953 it became necessary to replace the instrument. It was eventually replaced by new organ by Leeflang in 1964. An attempt has been made to sell the organ, but that has not been successful, it has been demolished.
