Complete description of the selected organ
Sellingen, Nederland (Groningen) - Hervormde Kerk
Municipal: Westerwolde
Address: Torenstraat 12, 9551 BK, Sellingen
Website: https://hervgemsellingen.nl/

Description nr.: 1009589.

Built by: Jan Proper (1915)
Demolished (1952)

  • In 1915 Jan Proper delivered an organ with one manual with eight stops and pulldown pedals for the Hervormde Kerk (Dutch Reformed Church) in Sellingen. The organ was demolished in 1952 and replaced by a new Van Vulpen instrument.
  • The Proper organ was bought by the firm of Reil. It is said that Reil used pipes by Proper for the extension of the organ in the Hoofdstraatkerk in Hoogeveen. But that is very unlikely, because the disposition of this extension does not correspond at all to that of the organ in Sellingen.
