  • The organ history of the Hervormde Kerk (Dutch Reformed Church) in Gameren started in 1893 with a small organ by Kruse. This organ was destroyed in April 1945 by acts of war. Willem van Leeuwen built a new organ for the new church building in 1954. The pedal organ was located behind the organ, on a pneumatic chest. Some ranks (Subbas, Holpijp, Gamba and Roerfluit) are older than the organ, but it is unknown where they came from. This organ was replaced by a new organ in 1988.
  • The organ was sold to the Gereformeerde Kerk (Vrijgemaakt), where it was installed in their church building, Snip 14 in Dokkum in 1990. Sybe Haarsma restored the organ in 1989-1990 and built a new organ case, with wood carvings by P. Tjeerdsma. The pedal organ has been installed on a new mechanical chest, to the left and right of the organ inside the new organ case. The VEKA-slides of Van Leeuwen were replaced by traditional slides. The stop list was also modified somewhat: the Octaaf 4' of the Bovenwerk and the Roerfluit 4' of the Hoofdwerk were exchanged, the composition of the Mixtuur was modified, and the Sesquialter was split into a Tertiaan and a Quint. The renewed organ was inaugurated in Dokkum on December 20, 1990. The company Nijsse modified the Quintadeen 16' of the second manual into a Bourdon 16', somewhere between 2010 and 2020.
  • The church in Dokkum has been closed after a last service on March 2nd, 2020. The organ was sold to the Gereformeerde Kerk (Vrijgemaakt) in Grijpskerk. It was transfered to Grijpskerk by the Noord Nederlandse Orgelmakers Coöperatie NNOC. The stop list was slightly modified. The Schalmey 8' was replaced by a Hobo 8', from the stock of the organ builder, and the Tertiaan was modified into a Terts by removing the 1 1/3'-choir. The organ was inaugurated on September 4, 2020. Sietze de Vries played during the presentation of the instrument, while David de Jong played the inaugurational concert.
