The chapel of the Academic Hospital in Groningen was originally located in the gatehouse on the Oostersingel, which gave it the name Poortzaal ('Gateroom'). In 1978 the company Pels & Van Leeuwen installed a pipe organ in this hall. In 1982 the instrument moved to the new church hall, on the third floor of the newly built Lenshoek Kliniek. When the 'Ronde Zaal' ('Round Hall') was opened in a new complex in 1992, the organ was moved here.
In 2011, an organ from Gray & Davison was put into use in the Ronde Zaal. The old organ was sold and has been transfered to the Kerkhörn in Zuidbroek by the company Van der Putten in 2016.
