- The Parkkerk on the edge of the Vondelpark in Amsterdam was opened on August 15, 1918. The building was designed by E.A.C. Rust. In October 1922 an organ from the German company Sauer was inaugurated. The location of the organ and the location of the console were determined by the architect of the church, so that the console was placed in a closed room. The organist could hear the congregation through a half-open window.
- After modernizing the church interior, the organ was also modernized in 1950-1951. The Leeflang company carried out the work. The most important change was the relocation of the console. The disposition was also adapted to the taste of the time. Many typical Sauer stops were altered (shortened) or removed. The mixing of new pipework with Sauer's romantic material created an organ with a non-satisfying sound that did not form a unity. The crescendowaltz remained in function, but due to the new stop arrangement on the wind chests it could no longer be used. Consultant during the conversion was Arie Bouman. The organ was put back into use on May 13, 1951.
- After a few years the church became more and more out of use. The Reformed Church eventually left, and the church subsequently became the property of the Amsterdam Monument Fund and was placed on the provisional Monument List. In 2006 the organ, which was in very poor condition, was completely restored by the Elbertse company. It was returned to its original state, including the fully pneumatic action. The Orgelpark opened its doors on January 20, 2007. In addition, other organs, a pressure wind harmonium and a grand piano have been installed.
- In 2011, a second console was manufactured by the Elbertse company that is movable. This console is linked to the organ using modern techniques, making it possible to use all registers on a manual of your choice, switch on sub- and super octave couplers and also save presets and make registrations via MIDI.
