- In 1898 Jan Proper placed a second-hand organ in the Gereformeerde Kerk (Reformed Church) on the Vaart in Gasselternijveen. It was not too good, because in 1902 plans were already being made for the purchase of a completely new organ. Yet that did not happen until 1939. In that year a second-hand organ was taken over from the Hervormde Kerk (Dutch Reformed Church) in Gieterveen, possibly built by Van Oeckelen around 1890. This instrument was converted in 1956 by the firm De Wit into a two-manual organ with pneumatic action.
- In 1993, the organ was sold to the Baptist Church in Emmer-Compascuum. In this village the previous building of the Baptist Church was replaced by a new construction. This new church was inaugurated in 1995.
