In 1886 a new organ was installed by Jan van Gelder in the Doopsgezinde Kerk in The Hague. Gerrit van Leeuwen carried out repairs in 1911, also modifying the disposition. The instrument was put into use again on November 26, 1911. After closure of the church, the organ was transferred by Slooff Orgelbouw in 1965 to the Hervormde Kerk (Dutch Reformed Church) in Dwingeloo. It replaced an organ by Spiering, dating from 1925. The stop list was hereby amended. The instrument was dedicated on December 5, 1965 with a concert by H. Smit, organist in Meppel. In 1999 the organ was restored by Mense Ruiter. A second restoration phase was started in 2002. This was completed in 2010. On August 6, 2010 the organ was put back into use.
