- The Lohman organ in the church of Farmsum was built for the previous church in the village. On October 11, 1829 it was iniaugurated with a concert by the Groningen Martinikerk organist Wilhelm Godlieb Hauff. The organ had 18 stops and pulldown pedals. The church was demolished in 1869 and replaced by the current building. Van Oeckelen installed the organ in the new church. An independent pedal with eight stops was added to the instrument by them.
- Over the years, nothing was modificated on the organ, except the replacement of the Quint 6' of the Pedal with a Ruispijp (3 ranks) by Mense Ruiter in 1953. At a restoration in the years 1975/76, Mense Ruiter installed two original Lohman stops on preserved open places: a Cornet on the main work, originating from Nieuw-Scheemda (1810) and a Flageolet on the positive, originating from the Martini Church in Groningen (1816). He also re-installed the Quint 6 that was removed in 1953', which was still in his possession. A tremulant was added to the Hoofdwerk, which is operated with the register button of the 'Windlosser'. Klaas Bolt was the consultant during this restoration.
- In connection with a restoration of the church building, the interior of the organ was transferred to the Mense Ruiter's workshop in 2012. Relocation took a long time, due to earthquake damage to the church building. In 2016 the organ could be rebuilt. All the mechanics were checked, the wind chests were renovated, and the reeds were overhauled. The bellows have been connected to a new blower. Mense Ruiter also supplied a new organ bench, that can be adjusted in height. The organ was inaugurated on September 16, 2016. Pieter Pilon gave a first concert at the day hereafter.
