Giorgio Bencz werd geboren in Maribor in 1909. Al in 1926 was hij actief als orgelmaker in Gorizia. Later werden zijn zoons compagnons. Hij bouwde voornamelijk in de jaren vanaf 1936 verschillende orgels in Istrië en ook bouwde hij harmoniums. In mei 1945 is hij gestorven.
