Hermann Schlimbach was born in Speyer in 1850 as the son of the organ maker Gustav Schlimbach. He later worked with his brother Friedrich (1849-1877) in the company of his father. In 1889 the company was sold and Hermann moved to Lucerne. He passed away in 1930.
