Johann (Hans) Konrad Kitzinger was afkomstig uit Lohr, waar hij rond 1626 werd geboren. Als orgelmaker vestigde hij zich rond 1650 in Münnerstadt. Hier bleef hij werkzaam tot zijn dood op 12 oktober 1696.
