Zoon van de orgelmaker Christoph Egedacher (der Ältere) uit Straubing. Geboren op 19 mei 1641. Hij verhuisde in 1672 naar Salzburg, waar hij op 5 april 1706 is overleden. Zijn zoon Johann Christoph Egedacher zette de orgelmakerij voort.
